Crimson Ridge Senior Living Campus in Greece NY,  and three other communities managed by Peregrine Health Management Company  of Syracuse New York, will share in a grant from the New York State Department of Health worth almost $250,000 for programs that improve residents' independence and quality of life.

The funding is from the Department of Health's program known as Enable, or Enhancing Abilities and Life Experience.

The Crimson Ridge Campus will receive approximately $73,000 to develop an area within their community where alternative medicine practices such as massage, aroma, music and guided relaxation therapy will be made available to the residents as part of their regular program. They will also utilize audiovisual Internet technology to link residents in different communities together in realtime for activity programs and social events.

Other Peregrine Health Management Company communities that are sharing in the grant are Quaker's Landing Memory Care Community in Orchard Park, NY, Peregrine's Landing Senior Community  in Cheektowaga, NY, and
Beacon Pointe Memory Care Community  Clifton Park, NY.
